The start of an adventure

The SwissPeaks Trail was born from the passion of a few runners who loved the Valais mountains. From its very first edition, 1,250 runners from 41 countries took on the iconic 170 km course. Behind this grand event, 200 passionate volunteers, 15 aid stations and over 6,700 marker flags made the adventure possible. The SwissPeaks wasn't just a race, it was a celebration, a challenge and a unique moment of sharing.

The mythical crossing

From the second edition onwards, a new challenge emerged: the complete crossing of Valais via its passes. Around 350 runners have already taken on this epic route, discovering majestic summits, breathtaking panoramas, and the authentic richness of the canton. This crossing is much more than a sporting feat: it's a human experience, made of solidarity, encounters, and unforgettable memories at every pass climbed.

A growing human adventure

Four years later, SwissPeaks has established itself as an unmissable event. A team of 12 organisers and nearly 500 volunteers mobilise to ensure each race is an exceptional experience. From setting up the courses to welcoming the runners, everyone brings their energy and passion. Today, participating in SwissPeaks means diving into an adventure where self-transcendence, camaraderie, and wonder are experienced with every step.
